What we keep about you

Written to be read, not to cover us. If anything here is unclear, that is a fault in the writing and we would like to know about it.

Last changed 17 September 2026

01When you use the estimator

Nothing. The whole thing runs in your browser and the answers never leave it. We do not know you used it, what you chose, or what figure came out.

If you press save, the answers and the figures are stored so the link keeps working. That record holds no name, no email address and no organisation. It is deleted after two years.

If you write a paragraph and ask us to fill in the rest from it, that paragraph is sent to Anthropic, who run the model that reads it, and comes straight back. Neither we nor they keep it afterwards and it is not used to train anything.

02When you get in touch

Your name, email address, and whatever else you chose to put in the form. It is kept so we can answer you and so we can find the conversation again later.

It is not added to a mailing list, because there is not one. You will get a reply, and nothing else unless you write again.

Kept for three years from the last time we spoke, then deleted. Where you became a client, it is kept for seven years from the end of the engagement because our accountants and HMRC require it.

03When you have an account with us

Your name, email address, which organisation you belong to, and a record of when you last signed in.

There is no password, because we do not use them. Signing in is a link sent to your address, which works once and expires after twenty minutes.

Your account and everything in it is deleted a year after your last project closes, unless you ask for it sooner.

04What we measure

Nothing at all until you say yes. Google Analytics is loaded with everything denied by default, and it stays denied unless you allow it using the line at the bottom of any page.

There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to until you choose to. Allowing it sets one preference in your own browser, which nobody else can read.

If you do allow it, Google receives a record of the pages you looked at, with your address shortened so it does not identify you. You can turn it off again on the same line, at any time.

05Who else sees any of it

Resend, who deliver our email, see the address a message goes to and its contents. They are used for sign-in links and for telling us you have been in touch.

Anthropic, who run the model behind the written-brief reader, see the paragraph you type there if you use it.

Google, if and only if you have allowed us to measure your visit.

Nobody else. Your details are not sold, rented, shared with partners or passed to anyone for marketing, and there are no advertising or tracking scripts on this site.

06Where it is kept

On servers in Europe. Backups are held in the same place and are encrypted.

Email passes through Resend and analytics through Google, both of which involve the United States under the arrangements the UK government recognises for that.

07What you can ask for

A copy of everything we hold about you. A correction to anything wrong. Deletion of all of it. A stop to any particular use of it.

Email hello@sep17.co.uk and you will have it within thirty days, usually within a few. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason.

If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk. Telling us first usually fixes it faster, and you are under no obligation to.

No Fear Tech Ltd, trading as Sep17, is the controller of this information. Reach us at hello@sep17.co.uk or on +44 1603 552024.

Our terms cover how an engagement works.
