Quotes out the same day, priced right every time
Your pricing rules, however involved, applied correctly by anyone on the team, inside a document that looks like it came from you.
- Typically costs
- £34k–£88k
- Live in
- 10–20 weeks
Quoting and proposals
3 parts01Where this usually starts
Two people can price a job properly and both of them are busy. Quotes sit for a week, margins move depending on who wrote them, and nobody can tell you afterwards why a particular job was priced the way it was.
02What changes
What you end up holding.
- 01Anyone on the team producing a correct quote in minutes, with your pricing rules applied for them
- 02Margin visible while the quote is being written, and approval required before anything thin goes out
- 03A document that looks like your business, sent, tracked and chased when it goes quiet
- 04Accepted quotes turning into the job, the schedule and the invoice without being retyped
- 05A clear record of what you quoted, what you won, and what the winners had in common
Quotes out the same day instead of the same week, with margin visible before anything is sent.
03The pieces
What a system like this is usually made of.
You will not want all of it on day one, and you should not pay for all of it on day one. The estimator lets you choose, and shows what each one adds.
Your pricing rules, applied for you
Volume breaks, customer rates, surcharges and every exception, applied the same way by everyone.
Quotes and proposals
A document that looks like your business, sent, tracked, accepted and signed online.
Signatures
Signed online with a full record of who, when and on what basis.
The sort of detail that matters
- Rates that differ per customer and change mid-contract
- Materials priced at this week's cost
04How it would run
10 to 20 weeks, in five phases you approve one at a time.
01
Getting to the truth
A written account of how your work really runs today, what the current way is costing you, and what your new system has to do about it.
02
Shaping it
Every screen and every decision your system will make, in front of you and signed off, with your live date fixed at the end of it.
03
Building it
Your system takes shape week by week in your own account, with something you can click on and try at the end of every fortnight.
04
Proving it
Your own people put it through real work with real records, and everything they find is fixed before anybody depends on it.
05
Going live
Your team moves across trained, with their history intact, on the date fixed months earlier.
05Asked most often
The questions that come up.
Our pricing is genuinely complicated. Can it cope?
Volume breaks, customer-specific rates, regional variation, materials that move weekly, minimum charges, surcharges, and every exception to all of them. Pricing you find hard to explain is the single strongest reason to build rather than buy.
Can the customer accept it online?
They open it, see it laid out properly, choose between the options you offer, accept and sign, and the job starts. You are told the moment they open it and again when they sign.
What if we need to override the price?
You can, and the system records who did, by how much and why. That record is what finally tells you whether discounting is winning you work or costing you margin.
06The rest of it
Most projects are two or three of these at once.
