The difference is in the working day

Customer relationships,
with the whole job attached.

A standard CRM keeps contacts, opportunities and follow-ups together. A bespoke CRM also understands the site survey before a quote, the equipment behind a service call, or the candidate permission before an introduction.

Try creating a record, moving it through a decision and completing the handover. The examples use fictional data, and the results reflect the changes you make. Each industry has its own records and saves its own progress on your device.

Follow an enquiry through to a customer handover.

Start a guided walkthrough in any industry. Each step records the real approval, customer update or operational evidence behind the decision. Before-and-after figures come from the same records as the dashboard and reports. Pause and resume on this device, inspect the customer history, or restart the walkthrough while keeping your main example.

  1. 01

    Record the enquiry

Alder needs a customer portal to reduce manual updates. Record the decision maker, budget and problem before preparing a proposal.

  2. 02

    Qualify the opportunity

Review the customer's requirements and decision process. The weighted pipeline changes as the opportunity becomes qualified.

  3. 03

    Present the proposal

Record the proposal discussion and agree the next commercial decision. Follow-ups keep responsibility with the opportunity owner.

  4. 04

    Record the customer's acceptance

Record acceptance and open delivery. The agreed value moves out of the open pipeline and into won work.

  5. 05

    Complete the customer handover

Complete the delivery evidence, customer feedback and handover. Close the remaining owned delivery follow-ups.

Build around the work that makes you different

Your customer journey.
Your rules. Your CRM.

When your team has to leave the CRM to finish the job, you are paying for a system and the work around it. Bring the customer, the approval and the delivery into one place designed for how your business earns its money.

01

The whole job, in one record

Follow your enquiry through quoting, approvals, delivery and aftercare. Keep the equipment, property, candidate or contract attached to the customer, so a handover carries the whole story.

02

Decisions your team can trust

See the overdue check, blocked order or renewal that needs attention. Your dashboards measure the work you actually run, and every figure leads back to its evidence.

03

Ownership that gives you options

Run software you own. Add colleagues without a Sep17 licence fee per user, decide what changes next, and retain the ability to appoint another supplier.

Invest in fit. Understand the numbers.

What does renting your CRM
cost over the next five years?

At £80 per user per month, 25 paid users cost £24,000 a year in licences alone: £120,000 over five years at an unchanged rate. Your bespoke system has an upfront build and ongoing costs too. Compare the complete scenario below.

Your model includes subscription overlap during the build and your managed SLA after launch. Its included operating costs and allowance are counted once. Build cost includes your assumed discovery, migration and training scope; add omitted costs to your budget. Costs are accrued monthly at annual-billing rates, not payment dates. No financing, discounting, tax, inflation beyond your chosen licence increase, or productivity savings are included. User growth can require a different service scope: adjust your managed SLA when usage changes materially. These plans have different capabilities and are not equivalent products.

Explore the value of time returned to your team

Licence savings are only part of your decision. Estimate time recovered from double entry and manual handovers. This is potential capacity, not cash saved or a promised productivity gain.

Cover the system. Keep room to grow.

25 people should not mean 25 support retainers.

Your plan is priced around your system and the service you agree, with no Sep17 CRM licence fee for each colleague. Salesforce Pro Suite at its published £80/user/month is £2,000/month for 25 paid users, or £4,000/month for 50, before implementation or optional Premier Success.

Essential at an illustrative £400/month covers your agreed infrastructure and support scope. Proactive at an illustrative £900/month adds capacity to improve it. These are ongoing service comparisons, not the complete investment: your bespoke build is included in the calculator.

Quiet months still build value

Save your hours for the improvement that matters.

Your unused allowance stays available in its issue month and the next two calendar months. Use the oldest hours first. January hours remain available through 31 March, then expire; you can hold up to three monthly allocations.

If you use no hours in January or February, a 10-hour plan gives you 30 hours to schedule in March. You can use that time towards a larger report, workflow or integration, once the work is scoped. A substantial portal or integration may require a separate quote.

Illustration assumes no hours used. Work is scheduled by agreement; rollover increases your available allowance, not guaranteed delivery capacity in one month.

What your Managed Service Level Agreement defines

Your proposal confirms the monthly price, included hours, system capacity, response commitments, recovery arrangements and notice period. Essential is the minimum operating provision for a system managed by Sep17. You retain ownership and can arrange equivalent operating support with another supplier.

Response commitments mean a human first response, not a guaranteed resolution time. Business hours are Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 UK time, excluding UK bank holidays. Monitoring runs 24/7; round-the-clock human incident cover must be separately agreed.

Monitoring, backups and routine security updates are included in your plan and do not consume your improvement allowance. Warranty fixes remain separate under your project terms. New work beyond your available allowance, paid third-party tools and materially greater system usage are scoped and approved before additional charges.

Your backups are stored separately from the live system; retention, recovery targets and restore checks are agreed in your SLA. Protection and recovery reduce disruption, but no system can be guaranteed to have zero downtime or zero security risk.

Confidence before commitment

A CRM you can approve.
A delivery you can follow.

Your CRM is delivered against an agreed scope, investment and schedule. Work directly with your project team, review working increments and see progress throughout delivery. Discuss your requirements with us to plan the next step.

  1. 01

    Map your working day

Bring the spreadsheets, exceptions and failed handovers. Your discovery identifies which work to improve, what to retain and how success will be measured.

  2. 02

Agree the shape and the date

Approve your workflows, permissions, reports and connected tools. Your costs are fixed per phase, and your delivery date is agreed at the end of phase two.

  3. 03

Try the work as it takes shape

Your people use working increments and see progress in your account. Migration and acceptance checks use your actual business scenarios before you depend on the system.

  4. 04

    Launch with a clear handover

Agree training, operating documentation, ownership, support and recovery arrangements. Your team knows how to use the CRM and who takes responsibility after launch.

Strong reasons to build

Your operational work extends beyond sales. You have costly handovers, distinctive rules, several disconnected tools or a growing licence bill. You can identify the improvement and put the right people into discovery.

When a packaged CRM can be right

You need standard contact and pipeline management, want to start quickly, and a lower-cost plan already fits. Keep it when it works. Your first conversation should establish whether a bespoke investment changes enough to warrant the build.

Before you decide

Your bespoke CRM questions, answered.

How much does a bespoke CRM cost?

Your scope sets the price. Sep17 engagements start at £25,000; most projects across the studio fall between £40,000 and £105,000. A customer-facing system can exceed £175,000. These are studio planning ranges, not a fixed CRM package. Use the estimator, then agree discovery and a written scope before approving the build.

Will you really spend less than a subscription?

That depends on your user count, licence tier, implementation and ongoing costs. A small team with a straightforward sales process may spend less on a packaged CRM. Bespoke becomes compelling when your licence bill, workarounds and missed handovers are substantial. The calculator shows both outcomes without adding unproven productivity gains to the saving.

Who owns your CRM, and can you move suppliers?

You own the work built for you, including its source code, as it is written. You receive the material needed to run and change it, with third-party components identified separately. You can appoint another supplier. Ownership and handover are set out in the terms, rather than depending on an ongoing subscription to Sep17.

What will you pay after launch?

You choose an Ongoing Support & Evolution Plan under a Managed Service Level Agreement (SLA). Essential Support is £250–£500/month; Proactive Evolution £600–£1,200; Priority Partner £1,500–£2,500+ depending on scope, excluding VAT. Each includes managed cloud operation and an allowance for support or improvements, with unused hours available across three calendar months. Additional work and paid external tools are agreed separately.

Can you keep your existing records and connected tools?

Your discovery includes the records you need to keep, their quality, access rights and the tools your team relies on. Migration is mapped and rehearsed, with sample records checked by your people. Connections to accounting, email, scheduling and customer portals are agreed individually, including any external subscription costs and limits.

How long will it take, and how is delivery protected?

Most studio projects take 14–26 weeks, depending on scope. Your estimate becomes an agreed delivery date at the end of the second phase. You approve the cost of each phase before it starts, see progress in your account, and try working increments with your own people. Your first conversation establishes whether the required start and delivery date are realistic.

How are permissions, security and recovery handled?

Your system is designed around who may see, change and approve each kind of record. Access controls, customer separation where needed, change history, backup and recovery, and agreed assurance checks form part of the scope. Your data protection requirements, operational responsibilities and required specialist advice are established during discovery.

Is this the CRM you would buy?

Explore fictional working examples of industry workflows, saved in your browser. Your commissioned CRM is designed around your own requirements. Your CRM is designed around your records, rules, reporting and integrations. Try a guided journey, then bring the exceptions that make your business different to the first conversation.

Bring your current licence bill, the number of people who need access and three examples of work your existing system makes difficult. You will get a straight assessment of the fit, the likely scope and the next available start.
